Bajirao masthani film (2015) 
Directed by sanjay leela bhansali, is a historical epic that combines elements of romance, war, and politics set against the backdrop of the maratha empire in 18th century indiya. The film centers around the love story between peshwa bajirao (played by Ranveer singh) and his second wife Masthani (played by Deepika padukone), while also portraying bajirao's political struggles and the tensions with his first wife kashibai (priyanka chopra).

Themes 

At the heart of the film is the forbidden love between bajirao's and masthani a union that challenges sociatel and religious norms. 

Masthani's mixed heritage and her Muslim faith cause a rift in the rigidly orthodox maratha society, reflecting the social and religious Divides at the time.

The music composed by bhansali him self, is integral to the film. Song like "Deewani masthani" and"pinga" are visually captivating and narratively significant, providing insight in to the characters emotions and relationships

Dance "pinga" and "diwani" blend traditional indiya dance forms with bhansali signature style, adding to the films' theatricality and drama.

The film based on real historical figures. Film portrays the maratha empire's grandeur but also derives into the complexities of caste, religion and societal expectations.

This film is a visually opulent and emotionally charged film that blend historical drama with romance wile it takes creative liberties with historical facts, it succeeded in portraying the emotional complexities of its characters and the sociatel challenges they face.
